7-Eleven celebrates its 98th birthday on July 11 with Free Slurpee Day—get one free small Slurpee from 11 a.m.–7 p.m., plus new Slurpee-activated tongue tattoos, bonus coupons, cash giveaways, delivery deals, and a merch drop.
On July 11, 2025, 7-Eleven will mark its 98th birthday—almost a century since the first Southland Ice Company store opened in Dallas in 1927. The milestone is being celebrated with the chain’s annual Free Slurpee Day, when customers nationwide can snag a small frozen drink on the house.
From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on July 11, participating 7-Eleven, Speedway, and Stripes stores will hand out one free small Slurpee to every guest—no purchase required and no loyalty membership needed. The offer is while supplies last, so early arrival is encouraged to beat the lines.
This year’s twist comes in the form of “Tongue-Toos”, first-of-their-kind temporary tongue tattoos that appear when you take a sip of a Slurpee. Available exclusively to 7Rewards® and Speedy Rewards® members at select locations, the tattoos feature the signature Slurpee “S” in four vibrant colors—blue, green, red, and purple—paying homage to those iconic frozen-drink stains.
Loyalty members who scan their 7Rewards or Speedy Rewards app on Slurpee Day will receive a digital coupon for a second free small Slurpee, redeemable through July 31. That means two freebies in one month of celebration.
In addition to free Slurpees and tongue tattoos, 7-Eleven is dishing out a host of extra treats:
Rounding out the festivities is the comeback of the cult-favorite Mountain Dew Infinite Swirl flavor. For the first time ever, fans can enjoy this pineapple-berry blend in both Slurpee and Big Gulp® varieties, in addition to the popular 20-ounce bottles
