How to Make Cheesy Minced Pork Crostini

To prepare the crostini with minced meat, start with the minced meat mixture: collect the minced pork in a bowl, add the stale breadcrumbs soaked in a little milk and well squeezed, then add the egg, grated pecorino and parmesan, salt, pepper, chopped parsley and the finely chopped garlic clove.

Mix everything until you get a smooth dough, cover with cling film and place in the fridge for 30 minutes.

After this time, make meatballs a little bigger than a walnut.

Cut the baguette into slices about 1.5 cm thick, then dip each slice in milk.

Place the bread on a baking tray lined with baking paper, then place a little smoked scamorza on each crostini.

Add the prepared meatballs.

Flatten the meatballs with the palms of your hands so that they cover the entire surface of the bread. Then drizzle each crostini with a little extra virgin olive oil.

Bake the crostini in a preheated oven at 390°F/200°C for about 25 minutes, or until the bread is crispy and the meat is cooked through. Remove from the oven and add the fontina cheese and put them back under the grill in the oven for 2-3 minutes, so as to melt the cheese.

The crostini with minced meat are ready: bring them to the table and enjoy them immediately, hot and stringy.
