The crispy white pizza is a kind of delicious focaccia soft on the inside and crunchy outside. The preparation and the ingredients are very simple, it takes only a little time to allow the leavening to make your dough even softer.
In a large bowl pour the flour (1) and add the sugar and dry yeast (2). Mix to distribute the ingredients evenly. Heat the water in the microwave for 15 seconds and pour it on the flour (3).
Add the oil (4), stir with a spoon and pour the dough on the pastry board (5). Work the dough for at least 10 minutes to make it smooth and soft. At this point add the salt and knead the dough for other 10 minutes. Cover it with the film (6).
Let it leaven for about two hours until doubling its volume. Knead it and roll it on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, cover it with the film and let it rise again for 30 minutes. After the necessary time, brush the surface with oil and bake for about 40 minutes at 220°C. Check the cooking.
Crispy white pizza with rosemary
The crunchy white pizza can be customized in various ways. If you want to make a dough more like a focaccia brush the surface with more oil, otherwise don’t put it and you will have a less tasty surface. Add some rosemary needles before cooking so that it releases its scent during cooking.
How to preserve crunchy white pizza
If you do not want to immediately eat the crisp white pizza, you can bake it in the oven and cut it into slices. Place a piece of baking paper between a piece of pizza and the other and put it in sealed bags in the freezer. When you then want to consume the white pizza just defrost it in the oven and heat it for a few minutes.
