Dunkin’ is officially stepping into the spirits game. In a first-of-its-kind collaboration, the coffee and donut giant has teamed up with Kahlúa, the world’s leading coffee liqueur brand, to release the Kahlúa Dunkin’ Caramel Swirl Cream Liqueur—a ready-to-pour drink that combines Dunkin’s iconic caramel swirl flavor with Kahlúa’s signature rum and Arabica coffee.

Launched on August 5, the liqueur is now available at retailers nationwide and marks Dunkin’s debut in the cream liqueur category. For Kahlúa, it’s the latest addition to its permanent portfolio and the brand’s largest investment in cream-based spirits to date.

What It Tastes Like

The liqueur is described as smooth, sweet, and indulgent, with layered notes of toffee, vanilla, dulce de leche, and a hint of chocolate and roasted coffee. The finish is creamy and balanced, designed to evoke the comforting richness of a Dunkin’ caramel coffee—just with a spirited twist.

According to Kahlúa’s VP of Marketing, Caroline Begley, the drink was developed after months of testing to strike the perfect balance between familiar sweetness and bold coffee flavor. It’s meant to be enjoyed neat, chilled, or over ice, and pairs surprisingly well with a Dunkin’ MUNCHKINS® Donut Hole Treat as a garnish.

Why Now?

The launch taps into two major beverage trends: the rise of coffee cocktails and the growing popularity of ready-to-drink (RTD) spirits. Since the resurgence of the espresso martini in 2020, coffee-based liqueurs have seen a boom in demand. Kahlúa, already a staple in cocktail culture, saw this as the perfect moment to innovate with a flavor that’s both nostalgic and versatile.

Dunkin’, meanwhile, has been expanding its brand beyond the breakfast counter, with recent forays into merchandise, collaborations, and now spirits. “This collaboration blends premium indulgence with everyday coffee culture,” said Brian Gilbert, Dunkin’s VP of Retail Business Development.

Where to Find It

Kahlúa Dunkin’ Caramel Swirl Cream Liqueur is available in 750ml bottles at major liquor retailers across the U.S. It’s expected to become a staple for fans of dessert-inspired drinks and coffee lovers looking to upgrade their home bar.
