Here are the tips to safely store fruits and vegetables at different places in your kitchen.

Cool and dry place

Bananas, potatoes, tomatoes, lime, and lemon should be stored in a cool and dry area outside the fridge. Even mushrooms and eggplants should be stored in a cool area and washed only before use.

In the fridge

Store apple, asparagus, carrots, grapes, cherries, blueberries, strawberries, lettuce, and rhubarb also in the fridge. Most variety of fruits and vegetables should be stored in the refrigerator as it protects their moisture content and maintains the freshness of these perishable food products.

In the freezer
