Model and viral home cook Nara Smith, known for her ultra-aesthetic, from-scratch cooking videos, has taken her most beloved kitchen hack mainstream. In partnership with Algae Cooking Club, she’s released Nara’s Roasted Garlic Oil, a limited-edition infused oil that captures the rich, mellow flavor of slow-roasted garlic—without the mess or the “stinky garlic fingers,” as Smith puts it.
What’s in the Bottle
The oil is made by steeping roasted garlic, miso powder, scallions, garlic extract, and yuzu extract in chef-grade algae oil, creating a deeply savory, umami-rich flavor. It’s designed to be drizzled, sautéed, roasted, or baked, and comes in a custom frosted glass bottle with a hand-drawn label by Smith herself.
Each bottle is:
- Vegan and soy-based
- Free of artificial flavors
- Crafted in small batches
- Available in single, double, or gift box sets (starting at $38)

Why Algae Oil?
Smith has been a longtime fan of algae oil, praising its neutral flavor, high smoke point, and sustainability. Algae Cooking Club, founded in 2023, is known for transforming algae oil from a niche ingredient into a pantry staple. This collaboration marks the brand’s first influencer-led product and Smith’s first foray into commercial food products.
Nara’s Take
“I love garlic, but I hate stinky garlic fingers,” Smith said in the launch announcement. “This oil takes the drama out of cooking—all the garlic flavor I love, without the mess”.
