Potatoes au gratin: the most decadent way to serve potatoes!

Salted butter

Potatoes
2 large, peeled and diced
Milk
¼ cup
Heavy Cream
1 cup
Flour
1 tablespoon
Cloves Garlic
3, peeled and grated
Salt
½ teaspoon
Black pepper powder
½ teaspoon
Cheddar Cheese
¼ cup, grated
Spring onion
1 small, greens

This truly is a great dish! It has such amazing creamy texture yet the potatoes hold onto a firm shape. This recipe cooks really well and you will love almost everything about this decadent preparation.

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees C. Grease a baking dish with butter and keep it aside. Add diced potatoes into the prepared baking dish. In a bowl, whisk milk and cream for a while.

Add flour, garlic, salt, pepper, and whisk everything until blended. Pour this mixture over potatoes, then cover the dish with a foil, and bake for 20 minutes.

Remove the foil and then bake it again for another 20 minutes. Sprinkle cheese on top and then bake the potatoes for another 2 to 3 minutes or until the cheese melts. Garnish with spring onion and serve!

Tips

You can pre-prepare this dish partially in advance and then bake it with cheese right before serving the guests.
