Cheeseballs are a great choice for parties – all you need to do is make them in advance, and serve with a variety of breadsticks, chips, or crackers for everyone to dig in.
This cheeseball has a pumpkin stalk added to the top of it and a bit of extra artistry in the grooves carved down the side to make it look like a pumpkin. It’s also rolled in an “everything bagel” seasoning mix to add an extra layer of flavor.
You can also serve this cheeseball up at any time of the year by simply rolling it into a ball, cover with seasoning and serving.
In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese, sour cream, horseradish, cheddar cheese, and bacon. Form the mixture into a ball inside plastic wrap, and put in the fridge to chill for an hour.
Once the cheeseball is firm, roll it into the Everything But the Bagel seasoning blend until it’s evenly covered.
To make your cheeseball resemble a pumpkin, add a real or fake pumpkin stem to the top.
Use the tip of a chopstick, skewer, or the back of a butter knife to create grooves from top to bottom to make it look like a pumpkin.
Serve with lots of crunchy things for dipping.
*If you live in the UK, you may not be able to get the Trader Joe’s brand seasoning, so make your own seasoning blend instead. Combine equal parts dehydrated onion, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, and garlic flakes. Add sea salt and black pepper to taste, then mix very well.
