- Taco seasoning 1 1/2 tbsps

- Onion 1 green, thinly sliced
Baked salsa chicken is literally a 5 minute work affair. All you have to do is toss up the ingredients together along with the chicken and bake! Can you ever find a delicious saucy chicken recipe easier than this?!
How to make salsa chicken
I love the fact that there is minimal labor involved, minimum usage of utensils, and the dish is so delicious and flavorful. You may choose to even marinate the chicken in the baking dish with the seasoning and marinade for a couple of hours… this will increase the flavors of the chicken. If you enjoy your chicken with a little salt, then you may season the chicken with salt and pepper or half a teaspoon of the taco seasoning before dunk the smooth chicken pieces in to the marinade.
At the face of it, you may serve it both as a snack or a side dish. Or, turn this heavenly preparation to a salad by slicing the chicken and placing it over the bed of fresh greens. Squeeze some lime juice or good old vinaigrette to add some fresh tang to the very exotic looking chicken salad preparation!

Preheat the oven to 175 degrees C and lightly grease the baking dish nicely with olive oil. Add the salsa sauce, sour cream, taco seasoning to the baking dish and whisk it until well combined. Place the chicken breast in to the sauce mixture and cover the chicken breast nicely with the sauce from all sides. Transfer the baking dish to the hot oven and bake the chicken for about 25 to 30 minutes or until the chicken cooks at the center. Remove the baking dish from oven and sprinkle the cheese, cilantro, green onion slices evenly all over the baking dish. Serve and enjoy!
- Make sure to not over bake the chicken else the dish will become tough and rubbery.
- You may add a couple of vegetables (of your choice) to the dish to increase the nutritional quotient of the preparation.
- You may use either fresh home made or market made salsa for the preparation.
