Instructions

Line a baking tray with aluminum foil and lightly brush the foil with canola oil. Heat a thick bottom pan at medium flame and add pumpkin seeds to it. Dry roast the seeds for 4 to 5 minutes or until it is slightly roasted while stirring them constantly.

Add canola oil, sugar, cumin powder, red chili powder, cinnamon powder and salt to the toasted seeds and stir the mix on low flame for about a minute or two.

Add honey and heat the mixture while the honey starts to boil and the spice mixes slightly thick in consistency while stirring the mixture continuously. Turn off the heat and remove the seeds on to the greased aluminum sheet.

Cool the mix to room temperature. Carefully separate the seeds and they are ready to be eaten!

Tips

Maintain the heating temperature and prefer to cook the dish on low flame. Continuously stir the mixture and seeds almost for the entire time you are preparing this dish. Do not over cook and burn the honey and be extra watchful from the time you add honey to the spiced seeds.
