After years of whispered orders, viral drink hacks, and unofficial recipes passed around Reddit and Instagram, Starbucks has finally embraced its underground culture by launching an official secret menu in its app. Starting July 14, 2025, Starbucks Rewards members can find four new custom drinks in the “Offers” tab of the Starbucks app, each preloaded with modifications for easy ordering.

This move marks a major shift for the coffee giant, which has long resisted formalizing its fan-created drinks. Now, with CEO Brian Niccol’s “Back to Starbucks” initiative in full swing, the company is leaning into personalization and digital engagement to win back customers and boost sales.

The Four Debut Drinks

The first wave of secret menu drinks includes four creative customizations, each inspired by customer favorites and social media trends:

  • Cookies on Top: A Cold Brew with two pumps of vanilla syrup, topped with Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Foam and cookie crumble. It’s a dessert-meets-coffee combo that’s already earning praise for its texture and sweetness.
  • Dragonfruit Glow-Up: A Mango Dragonfruit Lemonade Refresher blended with peach juice and finished with Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Foam. Reviewers say it’s fruity, creamy, and surprisingly balanced.
  • Lemon, Tea & Pearls: A twist on the classic Arnold Palmer, this drink blends black tea and lemonade with raspberry-flavored popping pearls for a boba-style experience.
  • Just Add White Mocha: A Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso upgraded with White Chocolate Mocha Sauce and Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Foam. It’s rich, layered, and perfect for fans of sweet espresso drinks.

Each drink is available at participating stores and can be ordered with one tap in the app, making the customization process seamless and barista-friendly.

A Contest to Create the Next Secret Hit

To celebrate the launch, Starbucks is also hosting a Secret Menu Contest through July 20. Customers and employees can submit their own drink creations for a chance to win up to $25,000. Four finalists will be selected, and their drinks will be featured in the app from August 18–25, with public voting on Instagram to determine the grand prize winner.
