Taco Bell Launches Crispy Chicken Tacos and Burritos in Bold Summer Menu Move

Taco Bell is turning up the heat this summer with the nationwide debut of its Crispy Chicken Tacos and Burritos, available for a limited time starting June 17, 2025. Building on the success of its Crispy Chicken Nuggets, the chain is now giving its signature tortilla-coated chicken the full Taco Bell treatment—stuffing it into tacos, burritos, and even offering it as standalone strips.

What’s Inside the Crunch

At the heart of these new menu items is the Crispy Chicken Strip—made from all-white meat chicken marinated in zesty jalapeño buttermilk, then breaded with a crunchy blend of breadcrumbs and tortilla chips. The Crispy Chicken Taco ($2.79) features one strip layered with purple cabbage, lettuce, pico de gallo, and shredded cheddar, while the Crispy Chicken Burrito ($5.49) doubles down with two strips and the same fresh toppings.

Sauces That Bring the Heat

To complement the new crispy creations, Taco Bell is also introducing two bold sauces:

• Spicy Ranchero Sauce – a fiery blend of Anaheim and jalapeño chiles, tomatoes, garlic, and onion
• Avocado Ranch Sauce – a creamy, zesty ranch with a hint of avocado

Both sauces can be added to any item for just 30 cents, or purchased on their own for 60 cents.

For those who prefer to keep it simple, Taco Bell is also offering two Crispy Chicken Strips for $3.99, perfect for dipping or snacking on the go. The launch is part of what the brand is calling its “crispy chicken era,” a movement fueled by fan demand and a desire to reimagine classic formats with bold new textures.
