There's restaurants all over the world among the 16 most beautiful places in the world awarded by the Prix Versailles 2025.

The Prix Versailles, promoted by UNESCO and the Union Internationale des Architectes (UIA), is one of the most prestigious international awards in the field of commercial architecture. Every year it selects the best achievements in the world in the sectors of catering, hospitality and transport, rewarding not only aesthetic beauty, but also the ability of the projects to integrate functionality, sustainability and cultural value.

In the 2025 edition, the awarded restaurants come from four continents and offer a cross-section of global trends in food design. From the glittering modernity of Dubai to the Nordic sobriety of Helsinki, to the tropical suggestions of Miami Beach, the sixteen selected venues represent the best of architecture applied to food.

An Award That Celebrates Intelligent and Sustainable Architecture

Established in 2015, the Prix Versailles was created with the aim of valorizing commercial architecture as a contemporary form of expression, capable of combining aesthetics, function and cultural identity. Unlike other awards in the sector, the prize focuses on spaces intended for public use — such as restaurants, hotels, shops, airports or stations — placing emphasis on how these places contribute to improving people's daily experience. Its name pays homage to the city of Versailles, a historic symbol of the dialogue between art, power and innovation.

Each year the jury — composed of international experts in architecture, art and design — selects projects from all over the world based on criteria that include design originality, the quality of integration with the urban or natural context, environmental sustainability and the symbolic value of the spaces. The prize is awarded in several phases: an initial continental selection, followed by a worldwide proclamation of the best projects in their respective categories.

Over the years, the Prix Versailles has become a global showcase for architects and designers, but also for brands and chefs who invest in the quality of the space, not only in the culinary offering. A vision, that of “beauty that is lived”, which is also redefining the very concept of catering in the world.
