It’s called Snack Kingdom, and over 13,300 square meters of space showcases over 35,000 products. Chips, candy, drinks, and immersive displays intertwine to create much more than just a store, but a true experience.

For some it's crazy, for others it might be something akin to Toyland: the largest snack shop in the world has opened. It's called Snack Kingdom, and with its 35,000 products from over 70 countries, it has been officially recognized by the Guinness World Record as the world's largest dedicated to these delicacies. Opened in April 2026, it is located in Changsha, in the Chinese province of Hunan, and has a clear and defined goal: to transform a simple visit into an experience worth living.

A Journey Around the World Through Snacks

While it may be difficult to imagine, to get a sense of its size, just take a look at the numbers: 13,315 square meters, spread across two floors, home to over 35,000 products from more than 70 countries. From savory snacks to sweets, including biscuits, chocolate, drinks, and desserts from every continent, the selection is so vast that according to some estimates, if you tried a different snack every day, it would take you almost 96 years to try them all.

But what makes Snack Kingdom even more special is not just the sheer quantity of products on the shelves: the store was designed as a sort of snack amusement park, with a path that invites customers to explore themed environments rather than simple aisles. Thus, one passes from the Global Snack Station, dedicated to international specialties, to Beverage Town, which houses drinks from around twenty countries, to Instant Noodle City, a paradise for lovers of the famous Chinese noodles, with an area displaying more than 3,500 varieties of instant noodles. There's even a Snack Museum, designed to tell the history and evolution of some of the most famous snacks.

Chips, Candies, Giant Packages and Works of Art

The experience is enriched by art installations that seem to have come straight from a contemporary exhibition rather than a supermarket. One of the most spectacular works reproduces the cover of Taiwanese pop star Jay Chou's album Fantasy using approximately 70,000 lollipops, while another is composed of 34 large transparent tubes filled with over 500,000 colorful candies. There are also giant packages of iconic snacks, specially created to transform into the perfect backdrops for photos and videos to share on social media.

The grand opening also saw the launch of over 500 new products, but the success far exceeded expectations. In the first few days, visitor numbers were so high that management decided to temporarily suspend sales to safely manage the crowds, while still allowing the public to enter and tour the space.
