The Virgin Moscow Mule Mocktail is a fresh and tasty drink, ideal for the spring and summer season, a vodka-free variant of the famous Moscow Mule.

This version of the Virgin Moscow Mule uses only two of the classic cocktail's ingredients: ginger beer and lime juice, extracted with a citrus juicer. Combine everything in a pitcher in the right proportions, then stir and pour into individual glasses, along with ice. Garnish with a lime wedge and a few mint leaves, which will lend an even more intense and fresh aroma.

The result will be a  surprising and thirst-quenching mocktail, characterized by the pungent flavor of ginger, a rhizome rich in antioxidant and cleansing properties, perfectly balanced by the acidic note of the citrus fruit, the dose of which can be increased or decreased according to your preferences. You can serve it during an alcohol-free brunch with friends or sip it on the beach, at sunset.

Can I Skip on The Copper Mug?

A Moscow Mule is traditionally served in a copper mug because copper quickly takes on the drink’s cold temperature, keeping it extra chilled and enhancing the refreshing experience; it’s also part of the cocktail’s branding from the 1940s. If you don’t have one, you can easily use a highball or Collins glass, or even a sturdy tumbler — the drink will taste the same, just without the signature icy-cold feel and visual appeal.

How to Make Virgin Moscow Mule Mocktail

Roll the limes on the work surface, pressing the citrus fruits with the palm of your hand, so that they soften, then extract the juice using a juicer.

Pour the resulting lime juice into a jug or container.

Add the ginger beer and mix with a spoon.

Pour some ice cubes into the glasses and mix the drink.

Garnish with a few mint leaves and a slice of lime, slightly cut so that it sticks to the edges of the glass.

Your non-alcoholic Moscow Mule is ready to be enjoyed!
