Their preparation is not complicated at all and are very appropriate to be used as a basis for other desserts. The combinations with ice creams, creams or fruits are ideal to savor this culinary delight.

In different countries there are varieties of the original recipe, being that in some cases the waffles are used to be consumed as part of salty foods instead of the usual, which is to use as a dessert.

We encourage you to try this recipe to make exquisite waffles. Let your imagination fly to select rich accompaniments that enhance the taste of the waffle. In particular we are sure that children will enjoy this rich dessert.

How to make Waffles

Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Beat the egg whites at maximum speed for 5 minutes. When ready, the mixture should form firm, shiny peaks. Keep this mixture in another bowl.
Mix the milk, melted butter, sugar and egg yolks in a medium bowl. Beat until the sugar dissolves well.
Put all the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder and salt) in a large bowl, and add the wet ingredients you just mixed.

Mix all the ingredients well, until the mixture does not have lumps. Then, with a wooden spoon and wrapping movements, mix the egg whites that you had reserved with the dough. At this point you cannot beat, otherwise the dough will not grow.

Now you just have to cook the waffles in a waffle maker (like making hot sandwiches). Normally this takes about 2 to 3 minutes, but it depends on the machine, so follow the manufacturer's instructions.

We use a silicone mold for waffles and baking. These molds are very practical, do not require adding butter or flour. Silicone molds do not stick and also cool very fast.
You can serve waffles with chopped fruits, caramel, fruit or chocolate syrup or sugar covered. There are dozens of options, even salads.
