Walmart is once again helping families celebrate Thanksgiving without breaking the bank. The retailer has relaunched its Thanksgiving Meal Basket, a curated bundle of over 20 grocery items designed to feed 10 people for less than $40. That’s just $4 per person, making it one of the most affordable holiday meal options on the market.

The bundle is available starting October 21 and runs through December 26, both in-store and online, with free express delivery for first-time Pickup and Delivery customers.

What’s in the Basket

The 2025 basket includes a mix of national brands and Walmart private-label favorites, covering all the essentials for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner:

  • Butterball turkey (13.5 lbs, priced at $0.97/lb—the lowest since 2019)
  • Stuffing mix
  • Mashed potatoes and gravy
  • Green bean casserole ingredients
  • Sweet potatoes
  • Cranberry sauce
  • Dinner rolls
  • Pumpkin pie ingredients
  • Assorted spices and baking staples

Customers can purchase the bundle as a “one-click basket” via Walmart’s website or app, streamlining the shopping process and reducing holiday stress.

Walmart’s Statement

Walmart U.S. President and CEO John Furner emphasized the company’s commitment to affordability:

“We know every dollar and minute counts—which is why we are offering a low-priced, one-click Thanksgiving Meal Basket featuring iconic brands like Butterball and Stove Top alongside trusted Walmart private-brand items.”

With grocery prices still elevated due to inflation and supply chain challenges, Walmart’s meal deal offers a practical solution for families looking to celebrate without overspending. It also positions Walmart competitively against rivals like Aldi and Target, who have launched similar bundles this season.
