Wingstop has unveiled Sour Patch Kids Wicked Punch, a limited-edition Halloween flavor combining a sour-then-sweet redberry glaze with crunchy candy bits.

Savory fried chicken and chewy Halloween confections are colliding in one of the most unexpected fast-food collaborations of the season: Wingstop officially announced a limited-edition partnership with Mondelēz International's Sour Patch Kids to launch Sour Patch Kids Wicked Punch. Dubbed by both brands as Halloween's "most unhinged flavor," the seasonal menu item dares adventurous diners to test their tastebuds with a chaotic clash of tart fruit candy and crispy, savory poultry.

Inside The Sour Then Sweet Redberry Wing Glaze

Crafted by Wingstop's internal Flavor Experts, the Wicked Punch creation transforms the iconic candy experience into a sticky, savory glaze: it features a vibrant, sour-then-sweet Redberry sauce that coats the chicken, delivering an initial tart punch followed by a sugary, fruity finish. Each order is crowned with actual Sour Patch Kids Bitz, adding a chewy, candy-coated crunch directly on top of the cooked chicken.

Customers can order the Wicked Punch flavor across Wingstop’s entire lineup of proteins, including classic bone-in wings, boneless wings, crispy tenders, and the Wingstop Chicken Sandwich. Fans can order the limited-run item in restaurants, through the official Wingstop mobile app, or online at Wingstop.com at participating nationwide locations while supplies last.

Rollout Timeline And The Thirteen Days Of Mischief

The limited-time flavor arrives as part of Sour Patch Kids' annual "13 Days of Mischief" campaign leading up to Halloween night. Loyalty program members enrolled in Club Wingstop will receive exclusive early access to order the Wicked Punch flavor starting Friday, October 23, 2026. The flavor will then roll out to the general public nationwide on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, remaining on menus only through Thursday, November 5, 2026, before disappearing.

Executives from both companies acknowledged the sheer shock value of pairing chicken wings with gummy candies.

"Candy on wings? We know exactly what you're thinking. But no, seriously, it has no business being this good," stated Michael Skipworth, President and CEO of Wingstop. "SOUR PATCH KIDS Wicked Punch wings bring sour and sweet together in a way only Wingstop can. It may sound unexpected, but one bite is all it takes to understand why this one is a treat."
