Discount grocery giant ALDI is taking direct aim at household inflation with a massive wave of price reductions across nationwide storefronts.
On September 23, ALDI officially announced a comprehensive fall pricing initiative aimed at delivering an estimated $86 million in savings to American shoppers. The price drop covers nearly one-third of ALDI's regularly stocked assortment across its more than 2,600 U.S. locations, lowering everyday cost hurdles on autumn seasonal produce, fresh meats, and pantry essentials.
Featured Price Drops On Poultry And Seasonal Produce
The price reductions focus heavily on high-demand fall staples, providing immediate relief for weekly family meal budgets. Key discounted products and price highlights include:
- Honeycrisp Apples: Marked down to $1.99 per pound, representing a 35% discount compared to last year and ALDI's lowest everyday price on the fruit variety in over five years.
- Kirkwood Chicken Breast Family Packs: Dropped to $1.99 per pound, marking the private-label chicken's lowest everyday price since 2022.
- Seasonal Produce Lineup: Significant reductions on Autumncrisp grapes, Bartlett pears, Brussels sprouts, French beans, garlic, butternut and spaghetti squash, fresh herbs, and various potato varieties.
- Pantry Staples: Additional savings applied across ground and organic whole bean coffee, mixed nuts, dried fruit, paper towels, and core private-label grocery items.
Savings Window And Corporate Commitment To Value
The fall price cuts took effect immediately on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, and are scheduled to remain active through at least Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
"At ALDI, value is a year-round promise, not a promotion," stated Scott Patton, Chief Commercial Officer at ALDI. "Customers trust us to help them make the most of their grocery budget, and we never stop looking for ways to run our business more efficiently so we can pass along savings."
The initiative lands as grocers compete aggressively for budget-conscious consumers seeking financial relief from persistent grocery inflation heading into the holiday season.
