Burger King is diving under the sea this holiday season with a nostalgic twist. The fast-food giant has unveiled a limited-time SpongeBob SquarePants menu across the U.S., designed to celebrate the upcoming SpongeBob movie and tap into the enduring love for Nickelodeon’s most famous sponge. With themed packaging, playful new items, and collectible toys, the promotion blends childhood nostalgia with Burger King’s signature offerings.
A Menu Made for Fans
At the heart of the collaboration is the SpongeBob's Krabby Patty Whopper, a tropical spin on the classic Whopper that nods to SpongeBob’s yellow color. Alongside it, customers can order a Mr. Krab's Cheesy Bacon Tots, crispy coin-shaped tots filled with cheese, bacon and potatoes. As a dessert, you can order a Patrick's Star-berry Shortcake Pie with creamy strawberry and vanilla layers, a cookie crumb crust, shortcake cookie crumbles and pink star-shaped sprinkles. Finally, to top it all off you can order a new Pirate's Frozen Pineapple Float, topped with a tropical-flavored cold foam, which tastes a lot like pina colada.
Burger King’s decision to partner with Nickelodeon reflects a broader trend in fast food: leaning into pop culture collaborations to generate buzz. Just as past tie-ins with Pokémon and Spider-Man drew crowds, the SpongeBob menu banks on the character’s cross-generational appeal. The packaging itself is part of the experience, featuring SpongeBob, Patrick, and other familiar faces, turning each meal into a collectible moment.
Availability and Timing
The SpongeBob menu launches today on December 2, 2025, and will be available at participating Burger King locations nationwide for a limited time. The promotion is timed to coincide with the holiday season and the marketing push for the new SpongeBob movie, ensuring maximum visibility during one of the busiest periods for family dining.
