Burger King is getting into the Halloween spirit with the return of its fan-favorite Halloween buckets, and this year’s theme is a nostalgic treat: Scooby-Doo. Starting October 10, participating Burger King locations across the U.S. will offer limited-edition Scooby-Doo–themed collectible buckets as part of a special kids’ meal promotion.

The buckets are part of the brand’s seasonal push to bring more fun and flair to fall dining, and they’re already generating buzz among fans of both fast food and classic cartoons.

What’s in the Halloween Buckets

Each Scooby-Doo Halloween bucket includes:

  • A themed collectible pail featuring Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Inc. gang
  • A King Jr. Meal (choice of entrée, side, and drink)
  • A spooky sticker sheet for decorating the bucket or anything else that needs a Halloween upgrade

The buckets come in three designs, each showcasing Scooby and friends in adorably eerie settings—think haunted houses, jack-o’-lanterns, and ghostly backdrops. They’re made of reusable plastic and double as trick-or-treat containers or festive decor.

Why Scooby-Doo?

Burger King partnered with Warner Bros. Discovery to bring Scooby-Doo into the Halloween spotlight, tapping into the character’s enduring popularity and spooky-but-fun vibe. According to Burger King’s VP of Marketing Pat O’Toole, the goal was to “create a collectible that brings joy to kids and nostalgia to parents.”

The move follows similar seasonal promotions from competitors like McDonald’s, which revived its Halloween Happy Meal buckets in recent years. Burger King’s twist adds a pop culture layer that’s resonating with fans of all ages.

Limited-Time Only

The Scooby-Doo Halloween buckets will be available while supplies last, and early reports suggest they'll be flying off shelves. Customers can order them in-store, via the Burger King app, or through delivery platforms where available.
