After a three-year hiatus, Coca-Cola’s space-inspired Starlight soda is officially back—but there’s a catch. The fan-favorite flavor, first launched in 2022 as part of the Coca-Cola Creations line, is returning exclusively to Jack in the Box locations across the U.S. as part of a limited-time collaboration.

Described by Coca-Cola as having a “subtle cooling sensation” and a reddish hue, Starlight quickly gained a cult following for its mysterious taste and celestial branding. Fans have long begged for its return, calling it “the best Coke flavor ever” and “magical.” Now, thanks to Jack in the Box’s new Coca-Cola Starlight Munchie Meal, they’ll get another chance to sip the stars.

What’s in the Munchie Meal

The Coca-Cola Starlight Munchie Meal, available from July 24 to September 21, includes a choice of entrée—either a Double Jr. Jumbo Jack Cheeseburger or a Really Big Chicken Sandwich—plus three sides: five Tiny Tacos, four Chicken Nuggets with ranch, and curly fries. The star of the meal is a 20-ounce bottled Coca-Cola Starlight, served in place of the usual fountain drink.

This marks Jack in the Box’s first beverage-centric Craved Collab, a series of limited-time menu drops designed to tap into fan nostalgia and social media buzz. “Jack is all about showing up in unexpected ways that connect with our guests’ cravings,” said Ryan Ostrom, Chief Customer and Digital Officer at Jack in the Box.

Will Starlight Stick Around?

While the return of Starlight has sparked excitement, Coca-Cola has not confirmed whether the flavor will be reintroduced beyond this promotion. For now, Jack in the Box is the only place to find it—and fans are already scrambling to locate their nearest drive-thru.

The soda’s exclusivity has also stirred frustration among those outside Jack in the Box’s 22-state footprint. “This sucks so much,” one fan wrote online. “I’m nowhere near a Jack in the Box.” Still, many remain hopeful that the brand will consider a wider release if demand proves strong.
