Soy Milk is a natural and light plant-based drink, one of the most popular alternatives to cow's milk, also from a nutritional standpoint. Excellent for breakfast or in sweet and savory recipes, it's ideal for vegans or those with gluten and lactose intolerances, as it's made from soy, a legume of Asian origin, now widespread and widely consumed in the U.S. as well.

Rich in protein, fiber, minerals, and omega-3 fatty acids, soy milk is sugar-free and low in calories. It also contains isoflavones, natural antioxidants that make it perfect for controlling blood cholesterol levels.

To make it, soak the soybeans in cold water for 24 hours; alternatively, you can use processed soy flakes, which can be purchased at organic supermarkets or online. Simply blend everything with an immersion blender and strain through a fine-mesh strainer or clean cheesecloth to remove any residue.

In just a few steps, you'll have a natural and healthier version than the ones on the market, free from preservatives, with a neutral flavor and a smooth, silky texture.

Ingredients

yellow soybeans or soy flakes
200 grams
water
2 liters

How to Make Soy Milk At Home

Rinse the soy flakes, pour them into a bowl and leave them to soak in cold water for about 24 hours.

Once the resting time has elapsed, transfer the soy flakes into the jug of a blender and start blending.

You should obtain a smooth mixture with a uniform color.

Filter the drink with a fine mesh strainer to eliminate all residues. If necessary, filter twice, using a sterile gauze.

Enjoy and use as you need!

Can I Add Anything Else to The Soy Milk?
