If there is one thing that matches the dramatic, fast-paced intensity of summer reality TV, it’s the comfort of a solid late-night snack. As millions of fans prepare to glue themselves to their screens for a season of dramatic re-couplings, shocking head-turns, and sudden dumpings, Mars Snacking is making sure your watch parties are fully equipped.

M&M’s announced that it is officially entering the villa as the exclusive confectionery partner for Love Island USA Season 8. To mark the partnership, the iconic candy brand is dropping a highly unique, interactive activation: limited-edition M&M’S Play Along Packs designed to turn every single episode of the upcoming season into a competitive, edible game.

The Architecture of the Play Along Packs

Bypassing the standard grocery store shelves, these specialized packages will be sold exclusively online. Each kit is explicitly built to elevate communal viewing, turning standard television consumption into a multi-sensory game. Retailing at $15.99, each Play Along Pack contains:

  • The Custom Mix: A 10-ounce share-size pouch of classic milk chocolate M&M's, completely overhauled in a bright, tropical palette of pink, orange, yellow, lime green, and turquoise to channel the ultimate Fiji villa energy.
  • The Prints: Every individual candy piece is laser-printed with one of 30 iconic phrases from the show’s lexicon—including crowd favorites like “got a text,” “bombshell arrives,” “pull for a chat,” “the ick,” “daybed debrief,” and “girl's girl.”
  • The Hardware: Four colorful game boards that serve as the layout for your watch party crew.

“We know that reality TV is the ultimate social experience, and M&M’S has always been the perfect snack for bringing people together,” Martin Terwilliger, VP of Marketing for Mars Snacking North America, said in an official statement. “By coupling up with Love Island USA, we’re giving fans a sweet new way to immerse themselves in the show’s most iconic moments.”

How to Play: Edible Gamification

The rules of the game are beautifully simple, turning standard watch-party banter into a race for survival. Before host Ariana Madix appears on screen or an episode's opening credits roll, every player randomly selects 10 M&M's candies from the shared pouch and places them onto the designated circles on their personal game board.

As the drama unfolds live on screen, players must keep a sharp eye out for matching triggers. If an Islander pulls someone for a chat, or a text alert chime rings through the villa speakers, any player holding that corresponding stamped candy gets to remove—and immediately eat—that piece from their board. The first person to completely clear all 10 spots on their board, or the player with the absolute fewest candies remaining when the episode ends, is officially crowned The Villa VIP with ultimate watch party bragging rights.

The Villa Lifestyle Extends to Social Feeds

The physical board games are only the first phase of this summer-long partnership. Throughout the season, M&M's is invading social channels with a continuous stream of original content. The brand has already confirmed exclusive collaborations featuring fan-favorite past Islanders like Hannah Fields and Jeremiah Brown.

Additionally, the animated M&M’S characters will be super-imposed directly into tropical paradise backgrounds via custom ad spots, accompanied by interactive TikTok challenges designed to keep viewers guessing about the season's upcoming twists.

The limited-quantity packs will officially launch tomorrow, Tuesday, June 2, 2026—the exact same day Season 8 premieres on Peacock at 9 p.m. ET—exclusively on MMS.com. Given the massive scale of the Love Island fanbase, these packs are highly expected to sell out before the first bombshell even walks through the front door.
