Travis Kelce is serving more than steak at his new Kansas City restaurant—he’s serving romance. The NFL star’s upcoming steakhouse, 1587 Prime, co-founded with teammate Patrick Mahomes, is set to open on September 17, and one menu item is already stealing the spotlight: a cocktail named “The Alchemy,” a nod to a track from Taylor Swift’s 2024 album, The Tortured Poets Department.

The drink, teased in an Instagram reel from the restaurant, features a cucumber ribbon, citrus twist, and tiny red roses as garnish—an elegant, floral presentation that mirrors the romantic tone of Swift’s lyrics. In the video, Kelce reacts with a smile as the drink is served, saying, “Oh yeah, I see it,” while Mahomes takes a sip and nods in approval.

A Subtle Tribute to a Public Romance

“The Alchemy” is widely believed to be inspired by Swift’s relationship with Kelce, with lyrics referencing touchdowns, trophies, and the kind of chemistry that “hits… like white wine.” The cocktail’s name and timing—just days after the couple announced their engagement—feel like a quiet toast to their love story.

Kelce and Swift revealed their engagement on August 26 with a garden-themed Instagram post captioned, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” a playful nod to their respective personas. The drink’s debut just days later adds another layer of sweetness to the celebration.

What to Expect at 1587 Prime

Named after Kelce and Mahomes’ jersey numbers (87 and 15), 1587 Prime promises a high-end dining experience with contemporary steakhouse fare, sports-themed decor, and a menu that blends luxury with personality. The restaurant is being developed in partnership with hospitality group Noble 33, and early previews have shown off premium cuts of meat, sleek interiors, and a cocktail list designed to spark conversation.
