You can also make your own baguette or substitute it with homemade rye bread.

For a more savory taste, replace the the brie cheese with a soft goat cheese, fresh ricotta cheese or a creamy spreadable cheese.

How to make Apple Brie Crostini

Cut the baguette obliquely, trying to get slices about 2 centimeters thick.

Place them in a baking tray lined with parchment paper, and sprinkle the surface with a layer of butter. Brown for 5 minutes in a preheated oven at 200°C/390°F.

In the meantime, wash and dry the apples very well, then cut some 2-3 millimeters slices keeping the peel.

Gradually collect the apple slices in a bowl and sprinkle them with lemon juice to keep them from blackening.

Take the buttered crostini out of the oven and top each one with a slice of brie cheese. Then bake again until the cheese melts.

As soon as the brie cheese looks soft and golden brown, take the crostini out of the oven and top each one with two slices of apple well drained.
