Bread Pockets Variations

Don’t feel like cream cheese and smoked salmon? Use any of these delicious fillings instead:

Ham and cheese – fill the bread pockets with a mixture of grated Swiss cheese and mature cheddar cheese, and top with chopped ham.

Philly Cheese Steak –fill the bread pockets with grilled steak slices, sautéed onions and peppers, and grated Swiss cheese.

Chicken Salad – make a chicken salad sandwich filling by combining shredded cooked chicken, celery, apple, fresh dill, and mayonnaise. Decorate with fresh parsley.

This recipe will work best with fresh, store-bought white bread. It’s soft enough to fold into pockets.
