How to Make Bread Pockets

Use a rolling pin to flatten the bread slices, then slice diagonally into triangles.

Create the pockets.

Brush the bottom part of the bread with water, then fold the outer corners inward, and press to seal.

Bake the pockets. Transfer the bread pockets to a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake at 180°C/360°F for 10 minutes.

Fill the pockets.

Fill the pockets with cream cheese and salmon.

Don’t feel like cream cheese and smoked salmon? Use any of these delicious fillings instead:

Ham and cheese – fill the bread pockets with a mixture of grated Swiss cheese and mature cheddar cheese, and top with chopped ham.

Philly Cheese Steak –fill the bread pockets with grilled steak slices, sautéed onions and peppers, and grated Swiss cheese.
