The cherry pudding is a very simple but delicious recipe, which you can replicate with your favorite fruit. If you love cherries like us, you just have to try it. It is a very delicious dessert, with a delicate but unmistakable taste, which immediately makes us think of summer.

Fresh and creamy, the cherry pudding really satisfies everyone, young and old. Serve it as a snack, or as a tasty end of the meal to end your summer dinners. Your guests will be surprised. To make it you will need less than half an hour, so it is ideal if you are waiting for friends for dinner and you have not yet chosen the dessert. Fasten your aprons, and let's see how to prepare the cherry pudding.

How to prepare cherry pudding

Wash the cherries under cold running water. Remove the stem, cut it in half and remove the stone (1). Put all the cherries in a bowl together with the sugar, mix well and let macerate for about half an hour.

In a saucepan, sift the flour (2), then add the milk, pouring it in little by little and turn on a very low flame. Add the vanilla seeds and grate the lemon zest. Keep stirring until you will have obtained a thick and homogeneous cream (3).

Add the cherries macerated with the sugar together with their syrup and mix. Pour the still hot cream into the small cups or bowls. Let cool, then cover with plastic wrap and keep the puddings in the refrigerator for about 4 hours before serving.

Preservation

You can preserve the cherry puddings in the refrigerator for about 3 days, well covered with plastic wrap.
