Coffee lovers adore an ice-cold glass of cold brew on a hot summer's day. Unlike iced coffee, which is made by hot-brewing coffee and pouring it over ice, cold brew is made by steeping coffee grounds in water overnight. This process is gentler, giving cold brew coffee an amazing, rich flavor that's not as bitter as traditionally prepared coffee.

No need for any fancy equipment – all you need is a couple of large jars! Cold brew coffee is ideal to make ahead and enjoy throughout the week for a refreshing caffeinated pick-me-up when the temperatures rise.

Tips

Use high-quality coffee beans for the best flavor.

Enjoy your cold brew over ice.

Add any milk you like. Regular, plant-based, or even condensed milk can be added to your cold brew coffee.

Flavored syrups like almond, vanilla, caramel, coconut, or pumpkin spice are delicious additions to cold brew coffee.

How to Store Cold Brew Coffee

Keep your cold brew coffee in an airtight jar in the fridge for up to one week.

Ingredients
coarsely ground coffee
1 cup
filtered water
4 cups
milk (optional)

How to Make Cold Brew Coffee

Grind the coffee beans.

Pour the coffee beans and water into a large jar.

Stir well.

Secure the lid. Allow the beans to steep for 12 hours or up to 24 hours.

Pour the mixture through a filter.

Transfer to a clean jar.

You can also add milk. Serve or refrigerate. Enjoy!
