A cheaper and healthier alternative to sausage rolls, these delicious filo rolls make a perfect pre-dinner nibble or snack ready in minutes!

INGREDIENTS

1 pack of filo dough (800 g)

For greasing;

2 tbsp melted butter 1 cup vegetable oil 1/2 cup milk pinch salt

For filling;

4 tbsp oil 2 medium onions 500 g ground beef 1 tsp tomato paste 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp black pepper 2 eggs 2 yolks

METHOD

Mix ingredients for greasing.

Add butter and onion in a frying pan, cook for 3-5 minutes.

Add the remaining ingredients and fry until the meat is ready.

Grease filo dough with an oil mixture, cover with another layer of dough (there should be 8 pieces in one roll).

Put the stuffing and roll.

Beat eggs with yolks and grease top of the rolls.

Bake at 200°C/400°F for 10-15 minutes
