Tips

Plastic shot cups are the best choice for making Jello shots.

Use any flavor of Jello to make your jello shots.

While vodka is the go-to choice for many, any type of liquor works for Jello shots.

Add a dash of food coloring to the mixture before pouring it for more vivid colors.

You can use different flavor combinations for your Jello shots. Use tequila instead of vodka, and lime or strawberry Jello to make Margarita Jello shots. Other combos to make include peach Jello and bourbon, spiced rum and pineapple Jello, orange Jello and vanilla vodka, or rum, cherry Jello, and cola. Mix additional ingredients into your Jello shots, like fruit juice or soda. This is an easy way to make Jello shot versions of your favorite cocktails.

Jello shots can be made a few days ahead of time.

How to Store Jello Shots

Cover and store in the fridge for up to 5 days.

Ingredients
Cold Water
1/2 cup
vodka (or other alcohol)
1/2 cup
jello (different colors)
1 3-ounce package
Boiling water
1 cup

How to Make Jello Shots

Combine cold water and vodka in a bowl, then place in the fridge for 15 to 20 minutes.

In a second bowl, combine the Jello and boiling water.

Mix until the powder dissolves.

Stir the vodka mixture into the Jello one.

Lightly spray them with cooking spray to prevent your Jello shots from sticking to the shot cups. Next, pour the Jello mixture into the shot cups.

Place in the fridge for at least 2 hours or until set.

Remove from the fridge and serve. Enjoy!
