If you want to have milkshake anytime you want, make sure to always have the following ingredients on hand: a tub of ice cream and full-fat milk (there’s really no need to skimp on the fat here, milkshake is no diet food!). More ice cream (versus milk) will give you a thicker milkshake, so if you like yours thinner and more drinkable, then add a little more milk. If you don’t have a food processor, you can use an electric whisk and a large bowl to combine the ingredients until smooth. The following recipes each make two large milkshakes.
Blueberry

Blend 2 cups vanilla ice-cream, 1 cup full-fat milk, and 1 cup frozen blueberries in a food processor until smooth. Pour in large milkshake glasses and top with whipped cream and a few fresh berries.
Banana

Blend 2 cups vanilla ice-cream, 1 cup full-fat milk, and 3 frozen bananas (broken in pieces) in a food processor until smooth. Pour in large milkshake glasses and top with whipped cream and rainbow sprinkles. For a peanut butter flavor, add one tablespoon smooth peanut butter to the food processor before blending.
Salted caramel

Blend 2 cups vanilla ice-cream, 1 cup full-fat milk, 1 cup caramel sauce or dulce de leche, and a pinch of sea salt flakes in a food processor until smooth. Pour in large milkshake glasses and top with whipped cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce.
Double chocolate

Heat ¼ cup cream in a small saucepan. Add 100g dark chocolate (70% cocoa) to the cream and stir until the chocolate has melted and the chocolate sauce is smooth. Blend 2 cups chocolate ice-cream, the chocolate sauce (keep some aside to drizzle on top), and 1 cup full-fat milk in a food processor until smooth. Pour in large milkshake glasses and top with whipped cream and a drizzle of the leftover chocolate sauce.
Oreo milkshake

Blend 2 cups vanilla ice-cream, 1 cup full-fat milk, and 8 Oreo cookies in a food processor until smooth. Pour in large milkshake glasses and top with whipped cream and an Oreo cookie.
