Here are some detox herbal teas to prepare at home to cleanse the body.
Detox herbal teas: what they are and how to take them
Even if we do not realize it, our body is constantly under attack due to toxins, stress, anxiety, food and seasonal ailments. Even when our skin is dull, we find it hard to digest and we feel swollen and dull, it means we have to purify our bodies. Detox herbal teas help our body a lot, as they promote the elimination of toxins through liquids. Main benefits go to kidneys, liver, intestines and skin, the organs that have the task of expelling waste substances from our body. The herbal tea is a preparation used with those medicinal herbs which are rich in volatile principles present in the aerial parts of the plants, such as leaves, buds or flowers. There are several medicinal plants with detox effects and it is necessary to choose the right ones, with the advice of the herbalist, in addition to the most appropriate times to consume them. Obviously we advise caution when taking herbal teas: it is important not to ingest potentially allergic substances and seek medical advice if you suffer from certain pathologies, and it is advisable not to give detox herbal teas to children or pregnant women.
Once you have found the right detox herbal tea, it is important to take it regularly, preferably every day for at least two weeks: this is because in the herbal tea the active ingredients of the plants are less concentrated than dry extract or mother tincture, and it is also important to find the right combination of herbs to benefit from the herbal tea. To prepare it, usually, you can use one or two teaspoons of the selected dried ingredients for each cup of hot water: infusion times can vary according to the ingredients used for the preparation.
