Bright red in color, buffalo sauce has a tangy, spicy flavor that is muted by a sweet note from the honey which pairs perfectly with chicken.

The fried chicken wings are sprinkled with sesame seeds and fresh rosemary. Wings are brushed with the Buffalo sauce which will give the meat creaminess and a truly explosive taste. Serve these fried buffalo wings with raw carrot and celery sticks for a restaurant-style dish.

Buffalo wings recipe owes its name to its origins. This dish was first created in a small restaurant known as Anchor bar in Buffalo, New York, in 1964 – hence the name. The goal was to use up leftover chicken wings by making them more flavorful.


Tips for the Best Crispy Fried Buffalo Wings

If you don’t have time, you can also find the original store-bought Frank's Original Red Hot Sauce, but homemade will have a completely different flavor.

Vegetable Oil
2 tbsp

How to make Fried Buffalo Wings

In a bowl, pour the white wine vinegar 1.

Combine all the spices: salt, chili, paprika, onion and garlic powder 2.

Add the cornstarch 3.

Pour in the honey 4.

Finish with the vegetable oil 5.

Mix quickly with a whisk 6.

Cook the sauce in a saucepan over low heat until it is thick and homogeneous. At this point, turn off the heat, remove it from the saucepan and set aside 7.

Melt the butter in the same saucepan, then add the Buffalo sauce and mix vigorously 8.

Heat the seed oil in a pan until it reaches a temperature of 180° C (356° F) 9.

Fry the chicken wings for about 10 minutes, turning them from time to time 10.

Once cooked and golden brown, drain and let the chicken wings dry on absorbent kitchen paper 11.

Sprinkle the fried wings with the sesame seeds and rosemary, then brush them with the Buffalo sauce until they are completely covered 12.
