Tips for Making Creamsicles

You'll need ice cream molds and popsicle sticks to make homemade creamsicles.

Orange juice concentrate will give your creamsicles the strongest, tastiest orange flavor – regular OJ doesn't compare.

Full-fat yogurt gives your creamsicles the best flavor and texture. You can use Greek yogurt for a tangier flavor, or if you're looking to cut calories, low-fat yogurt will also work. Don't use non-fat yogurt.

Use your preferred sweetener if you're reducing sugar in your diet. Erythritol and monkfruit are excellent options.

To make vegan creamsicles, use plant-based yogurt and coconut milk instead of regular yogurt and heavy cream.

You can leave out the orange food coloring if you prefer.

How to Store Creamsicles

Creamsicles will last up to one month when stored in an airtight container in the freezer.

How to Make Creamsicles

Pour orange juice concentrate, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla, and salt into a blender.

Blitz until combined. Add the food coloring, and blend until smooth.

Pour the mixture into a bowl, then cover and put the bowl in the fridge.

In a second bowl, add yogurt, cream, sugar, vanilla, and salt.

Mix until smooth. Cover and place in the fridge.

Scoop 1 large tablespoon of vanilla mixture into an ice cream mold. Add 1 large tablespoon of the orange mixture.

Repeat to make a total of 10 creamsicles. Cover the creamsicles and insert the popsicle sticks.

Freeze for a minimum of 8 hours up to overnight.

To remove the creamsicles from the molds, quickly dip the molds into warm water. Serve and enjoy!
