Skin Health

You can make scrubs and face masks with these two ingredients, which will help to remove dirt and unclog your pores.

Use half a teaspoon of baking powder and one teaspoon of organic honey. Mix well, and apply to your face. Leave the scrub on for a couple of minutes, then rinse off with warm water. To use it as a face mask, leave it on until the paste dries, then rinse off.

Acne Scars

Acne scars can be stubborn, but applying honey and baking soda is one of the best ways to exfoliate the skin and fade the blemishes.

Use one teaspoon of baking powder, one teaspoon of honey and half a teaspoon of cinnamon powder. Mix all the ingredients, then apply the face mask uniformly over your face and neck. Let it dry for 20 minutes, and wash it off using cold water. Pat the skin dry and apply moisturizer. Do this two or three times a week for best results.

Digestive Aid

Baking soda is great for helping to digest heavy foods quickly and relieving flatulence. It’s also good for helping deal with heartburn or acid reflux. It converts the acid that comes up from the stomach into sodium chloride, which helps relieve the burning.

Coughs and Colds

A quick and effective home remedy for flu, coughs and colds is to mix one teaspoon of honey, half a teaspoon of baking powder, and one teaspoon of lemon juice in a glass of hot water. Stir until the baking powder has completely dissolved, then drink it.

Keeping hydrated and having the right levels of electrolytes are essential for having a good workout. You can make a drink of honey and baking soda at home, which is far cheaper than buying sports, drinks.

Get one cup of coconut water, a pinch of sea salt, two or three drops of lemon juice, a pinch of baking soda and a half-teaspoon of honey.

Warm the coconut water slightly, and add the baking powder. Stir until fully dissolved, and then add the honey, sea salt and lemon juice and mix well. Pour the mix into a sports bottle and sip during your workout.
