You've never had cookies like this before!
2 cups flour;
1 egg yolk;
½ tbsp lemon juice;
2 tbsp butter, room temperature;
a pinch of salt;
¼ package of dry yeast;
½ cup warm water;
½ cup honey;
½ cup hot water.
Combine dry ingredients together: salt, yeast and flour. Add butter and egg yolk, mix with your hands to form fine crumbs, then add warm water and work the dough until it comes together.
Cover the dough with plastic and set aside to rise and double in size.
Meanwhile make simple honey syrup by whisking honey and warm water together. You can optionally add a teaspoon of lemon juice into the mixture.
Cut the dough in half, roll each half out and cut forming flours of 3 different sizes, using cookie cutter.
Connect 3 different flowers using just a little bit of water and add small round of the dough into the center.
Fry in vegetable oil for 2-3 minutes, until golden. Place on paper towels and pour syrup while the flowers are still hot.
Serve and enjoy!
