Many people have memories of enjoying corn on a cob as a child but even now, it is still a beloved snack enjoyed by all mostly during summer.

Naturally, many people prepare it using the ok fashion method of boiling batches of them but what if we told you there was a way to get it ready faster and without fuss?

A Fuss-Free Way To Prepare Corn On The Cob

Microwaving corn on the cob is a very simple process, and it takes only a couple of minutes. All you need is some corn and a microwave. Once you have those, follow these directions:

  1. Don't de-husk the corn! Leaving the husk on will help prevent the corn from drying out and once it is microwaved, it is much easier to remove the husk and silk.
  2. Put the un-shucked corn on the cobs in a microwave-safe dish, get them in the microwave, and have them cook for five minutes. If you're only doing one or two, you can start with three minutes.
  3. After removing them from the microwave, let them cool until the husk doesn't scorch your finger when you touch it, after which you can shuck the corn.
  4. Now they're ready for consumption. Slather them in butter, salt, pepper, depending on what you prefer. Or slice them off with a knife and toss into salads, pastas, soups, and more.

Enjoy!
