Shrimp fritters are an easy and tasty appetizer, a simple recipe, excellent to serve also as an appetizer or as a second course, varying the doses a little. To make them you will only need fresh shrimps or prawns – better if already shelled to speed up the preparation – and a simple and quick batter made with cold sparkling water, flour and grated parmesan cheese. Everything must be fried in hot oil until golden brown. In no time you will prepare a delicious dish that will conquer everyone. So let’s see how to make them.

How to prepare shrimp fritters

Remove the shells from the shrimps (1), remove the dark thread on the back with the help of a toothpick and cut them into small pieces. Put the flour, grated Parmesan cheese in a bowl and mix. Then add the cold sparkling water and stir until you will have obtained a smooth batter (2). Add the shrimp into small pieces and mix. Take the dough with a spoon and fry a few fritters at a time in a pan with hot oil until golden brown. Drain them with a slotted spoon and lay them on a plate lined with kitchen paper, so as to eliminate excess oil. Your shrimp fritters are ready to be served hot with a pinch of salt (3).

Preservation

It is advisable to consume the shrimp fritters immediately after preparation. You can still preserve them for a day, but they will lose their crunchiness.
