Ingredients
skinless boneless chicken breasts
200g, cleaned
Canola oil
1 tablespoon
Soy sauce
2 tablespoons
rice wine vinegar
1 tablespoon
dry sherry
2 tablespoons
Granulated sugar
1 tablespoon
Spring onion
1, thinly sliced
A pinch salt
Sesame seeds
1 teaspoon

Teriyaki chicken is by far the most loved chicken snack preparation that has amazing oriental flavors! The juicy and tender chicken pieces are absolutely irresistible and highly addictive.

If interested, you may bake the seared chicken in the oven at 200 degrees C along with all the remaining ingredients, except the spring onion greens and sesame seeds, which you can add later after the chicken is cooked to perfection and the sauce coats the chicken well.

This preparation has the perfect flavors and each bite is a perfect blend of delicious chicken coated in a drool worthy sauce. It is really very simple to prepare this dish and cooking it takes practically no time from start to finish. Seems hard to believe? Just try it for yourself and tell us how it was…

Instructions:

Cut the chicken breasts evenly in to bite sized cubes. Heat the oil in a non-stick pan and sauté the chicken in it on medium flame until it is light brown in color. Keep on stirring the chicken cubes intermittently. Remove the chicken on to another plate and cover it. Let it rest on the side.

Add soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, dry sherry, and granulated sugar to the same pan in which the chicken was sautéed. Let this mixture cook until it starts to boil and the sugar starts to dissolve. Turn the heat to simmer. Add the white part of the sliced spring onion, sesame seeds, and salt to the simmering sauce.

Stir in the chicken cubes and cook everything on high heat while stirring the pan and its ingredients continuously until the sauce coats the chicken bites nicely and the sauce almost dries up. Serve hot teriyaki chicken bites, garnish with spring onion greens, and enjoy!

Tips

Buy the best and freshest chicken to add more flavors to this otherwise simple dish. Make this entire dish at once and do not overcook the chicken, as the chicken tends to get tough upon over cooking.
