You Won’t Believe What A Customer Gave A Dunkin’ Donuts’ Employee

The most common way to reward service workers for a job well done is through a generous tip but this Dunkin' Donuts customer didn't think that was enough for her favourite employee. The beautiful exchange is heartwarming and will definitely restore your faith in humanity.

Suzanne Burke regularly visits a particular Dunkin' location where she is constantly served by Ebony Johnson. Over time of her patronage, Burke has observed and remained in silent awe of Johnson's excellent service at the drive-thru.

So, she was quick to notice when Johnson wasn't at work for a period of time. When she made enquiries about the cheery server, Burke discovered that Johnson had to leave work to attend to a family emergency as she and her kids had been evicted from their home.

Burke quickly set plans to arrange for a seriously life-changing gift for the beloved employee and no, it wasn't by pooling funds from fellow customers to deliver a more sizable tip for Johnson, such as $1,000 or even $10,000. It was much more than that!

Burke started reaching out to different organisations to find a solution to Johnson's housing problem — and fortunately, she found one.

With the help of a variety of organisations, including New Life Furniture Bank, a non-profit that collects gently used furniture and distributes it to those who need it, Burke was able to present Johnson with a fully furnished home for her and her children — not even Christmas decorations were left out!

Johnson was surrounded by her children when she was introduced to their new home but she couldn't hide her years at the sight of the lovely creation.

A video shared via YouTube of the moment has garnered thousands of views and comments airing appreciation for Burke's generosity.

Indeed, not all heroes wear capes!
