Here are the following DIY options that can whiten your smile without you visiting any dentist’s clinic. So, just smile widely with confidence each time you have a camera pointing towards you.

Hydrogen peroxide. Just by rinsing for a couple of seconds with diluted hydrogen peroxide solution each day, a significant change in the tooth color has been reported. You may also prepare a home made tooth paste by mixing a few drops of 3% hydrogen peroxide with little baking soda, though it should not be used regularly and limit its use for just a couple of days after every 5 to 6 months.

Strawberry. Strawberries are naturally endowed with malic acid that is effective against red wine, tea, and coffee stains on teeth. Prepare a mixture by mashing a couple of strawberries with 1 teaspoon of baking soda and rub it all over your denture for about 5 minutes. Rinse your mouth well and use floss to remove any strawberry seed that is stuck in between your teeth. Again, use this mixture only occasionally.

Banana. The inner white area of the banana peel is rich in many minerals such as magnesium, potassium, manganese etc. that when rubbed on to the teeth for 2 minutes after brushing helps to give a whitening effect as these teeth friendly minerals are absorbed in to the enamel.

Apple cider vinegar. Dilute 1 part of ACV in 3 parts of water and mix it well with any all natural toothpaste to enhance its stain removing quality.

Coconut oil. Fatty acids present in coconut oil, when contacted with human saliva, are broken in to teeth whitening compounds that effectively removes stains when brushed over the teeth. You may also prepare a paste by mixing 1 cup of heated coconut oil with 2 teaspoons baking soda and 10 drops of natural spearmint oil.

Charcoal. Activated charcoal, when mixed with little water and then applied over the denture, helps to bind the bacteria present on it. Just leave the applied charcoal for 2 minutes over the teeth for it to work and then rinse your mouth well.
