You will certainly love this incredible frittata recipe that has the simplest and commonly available food items! This frittata recipe is really very easy to prepare yet it is very filling and really high on the protein content.

However, you may choose to omit the additional salt in the recipe if you prefer to eat less salted meals. You may eat this frittata on the table as a part of sit down breakfast or just wrap a slice of it in a bread loaf for the breakfast on the go. All in all, it a very nutritious and filling food preparation!

Instructions:

In a small oven proof non stick pan heat the olive oil. Stir in the diced potatoes and chopped onion to it and sauté the vegetables for about 2 minutes or until onions turn light pink in color. Add the cubed ham to the vegetables and cook everything for about a minute while stirring intermittently.

Meanwhile, crack open the eggs in to a bowl and whisk them well until fluffy.

Set aside. Season the mixture with salt and black pepper powder. Mix everything well.

Pour the whisked eggs to the ham and vegetable mixture and let it cook on low flame for 5 minutes or until the edges of the egg are set and appear firm. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 175 degrees C.

Evenly sprinkle shredded cheese over the eggs and then transfer the pan in to the preheated oven. Bake the frittata for about 10 minutes or until the cheese melts and eggs are firm. Slice and serve hot frittata!

Tips

Crack open the eggs carefully in to the bowl and make sure you do not accidentally add egg shells to it. A low fat version of cheese will impart fewer calories to the dish. You can also prepare this dish with only egg whites as well.
