Strawberry and cream poke cake is a cake with a special filling that will surprise you. Poke cakes are American desserts born in the '70s, usually made with a mix of vanilla cakes. However, what characterizes the cake are the holes made on the surface with the end of a wooden spoon, then filled with sauce or strawberry jelly or other creams, "to poke", in fact, means "to stick". The cake will then be covered with whipped cream or cheese frosting and chopped strawberries. Even creamier than the regular strawberry poke cake, this the perfect spring dessert to serve as a dessert, but also as a birthday cake. Usually the poke cake is made in a rectangular mold, but you can also choose a heart-shaped mold, perfect for Mother's Day, or the classic round mold. But here's how to make the Strawberry and cream poke cake soft and fragrant.

How to make Strawberry and Cream Poke Cake

Oil the baking tin and place the dry cookies on the base. Pour in the prepared sponge cake mixture.

Level it out well with a spatula. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for 25 minutes.

Wash the strawberries, remove the stalks and place them in a bowl. Mash them with a whisk until pureed.

Add the cream cheese and condensed milk, then mix with a hand whisk.

Add the milk as well and continue to mix until it is well mixed with the rest.

Poke holes in the surface of the cake using the opposite end of a wooden spoon.
