Coconut oil brings a lot of benefits to teeth whitening, thanks to its antibacterial and moisturizing properties.
Coconut oil is a natural product that is very good for the care of many parts of the body. Among these we find the teeth, in fact today we propose you to start using toothpaste with coconut oil.
Using toothpaste with coconut oil help to remove the bacterial plaque from the teeth, representing an effective and low cost treatment.
Toothpaste with coconut oil
To wash your teeth, it is best to combine coconut oil with sodium bicarbonate.
The abrasive nature of sodium bicarbonate is the best for removing tartar stains on teeth and giving them back their natural white.
In this way, you will boost the effect of the oil and you will get an adequate cleaning of the teeth.
2 teaspoons of coconut oil (30 ml)
2 teaspoons of sodium bicarbonate (20 g)
½ tablespoon of mint oil, peppermint, cinnamon or other herbs to give flavor (5 ml) (optional)
Heat up the coconut oil over a low heat for a couple of minutes. The goal is to make it more liquid. In this way it will be easier to melt it.
In a small saucepan, pour the coconut oil and the sodium bicarbonate and mix them to obtain an homogeneous mixture.
Pour the herbal essential oil a little at a time and continue stirring.
Put the paste on the toothbrush and then brush your teeth as you usually would. Remember to also brush the tongue and the inside of the cheeks.
Rinse with water.
You can also prepare a quantity of toothpaste with coconut oil sufficient for the whole week. You only have to maintain the proportions between the various ingredients and preserve the toothpaste in a clean glass container.
In this case, do not put the toothbrush directly into the container in order not to contaminate it. Help yourself with a small spoon or a spatula to collect the toothpaste and apply it on the toothbrush.
