Bananas are naturally sweet fruits favored by many people. What could be perfect more than having it incorporated into a food staple like bread?

While the banana bread is delicious, it is still surprising to find that it is topping the food trend. Close behind are the chocolate cake, apple pie, and mac and cheese.

Various experts were made to answer the question of why this is happening, and this is what they said.

Ori Zohar, the co-founder of spice company Burlap & Barrel, who is currently self-quarantined with his family, explained that banana bread had become a staple in his home because they overbought bananas and don't want it to go to waste.

He said:

"We've been buying more food, which means there's more opportunity for things to go bad. Luckily we can save the brown bananas a trip to the compost bin."

For Timothy Hollingsworth, the chef of LA fine-dining spot Otium, who has been baking a lot of banana bread these days, it is the simplicity and straightforward recipe that has drawn him in.

On the other hand, Christina Mckenzie, Marketing manager in Rochester, MI, says baking banana bread is a welcome escape from the near-choking boredom that comes with staying inside her home all day.

She made her very first loaf in 20 years; here's what she had to say:

"It's just something to do beyond watching TV, working, and reading. I am a busy person, so baking is a way to do something creative without leaving my home."

The bottom line here is that baking banana is famous because it is fun to make, quite simple to master, helps to reduce food wastage, and is absolutely delicious.
